Physically Challenged
Irish and American Youth Team

Celtic Bonds
by Kieran McGovern, Ireland 2005

It's bittersweet to be here as this ephemeral trip concludes,
In the most pure altruistic bliss no one can elude
Simply put we all had a great time,
Reflecting on these two great weeks we yearn to rewind.
From Dublin to Belfast, castles, museums, rides on amphibious boats.
Friends always besides us,
Sweetcheeks would guide us;
The company is what matters most.

Echoes of ancient voices in the Celtic rain sang a gentle song.
The spirits of the sprawling green fields would always ride along.
I'm more grateful to you all than any words can convey,
Like the endless horizon extending into a sky of slate.
One rule that has always held true,
All good things must end,
But I know no matter what I do
I'll see you all again.
