Physically Challenged
Irish and American Youth Team

In Memory of Alan O'Regan

by Bill Broderick, President

It is with great sadness we report that Alan O'Regan lost his courageous battle with cancer on October 6, 2009. Our sadness must be combined with the great joy and gratitude that we feel for having been blessed with having the friendship, comradery and our shared devotion with Alan in helping the many physically challenged children whose lives Alan forever made better. His congenial manner and perpetual willingness to do whatever required to help these children will serve as a permanent reminder to all the children and volunteers of how good one human being can be to his fellow man. We will miss his smile, sense of humor, quiet humility and his selfless contributions to making this world a better place for all.

I will be establishing a scholarship in America in Alan's name for a physically challenged student to attend college. In this way, I hope to keep Alan's memory and spirit alive in all of us. All who wish to support this effort are invited to contact me.

Finally, on behalf of our entire organization, I wish to extend our most sincere condolences and support to the O'Regan family and especially his mother Helen. Their devotion and love for Alan did not go unnoticed by all of us who loved Alan and our thoughts and prayers remain with them.

God bless Alan.
